He is due to make his second Olympic appearance at Tokyo 2020, having debuted at the Games in 2004 in Athens. He returned to the sport in 2017, and was selected to re-join the Australia national team in 2018. In 2007 he stepped away from competitive archery to focus on starting a family and setting up a gym equipment business.
He was part of the Australia men's recurve team that secured a quota spot for the 2020 Olympic Games through their performance at the 2019 World Championships in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
